Tasting Notes
Big Bold and Balanced. Artfully Blended with Iconic California Varietals. Aromas of wild berries and toasted oak with intense black fruit flavors accented with spicy, smoky notes. Richly textured and full bodied. Tough enough for any BBQ, yet refined enough for filet mignon.
Background
Two Horns was created to provide consistently excellent quality combined with value in a fun, easy to enjoy package. Combining our western heritage and rugged outlook with the ideal climate and terroir for classic Bordeaux grape varieties. Two Horns Red Blend achieves a full bodied, fruit forward and powerful wine, while at the same time showing great balance, elegance and versatility with food.
Vineyards
Drawing on the vast quality throughout the state, Two Horns Red Blend uses North and Central Coast, as well as Central Valley fruit. This allows for a perfect balance of sun ripened lushness and cooler climate acidity, resulting in ripe fruit flavors that maintain a bright and fresh feeling on the palate.
Vinification
Grapes are monitored to arrive at the optimal ripeness level to create balanced wines – harvested when perfectly ripe with just the right sugar levels to ferment at alcohol levels that accentuate the beautiful fruit that we begin with. After careful selection of grapes, varietals are fermented separately and expertly blended by our winemaker before being aged with American oak for four months.
